Post Thanksgiving

Oh boy! Yesterday was Thanksgiving and I was busy all day cooking, eating and entertaining. After cleaning things up last night I didn't want to start anything else, and left the leftover turkey bones in a pot.

Woke up this morning and started my turkey stock. Homemade stock always tastes better. Maybe a similar scene occurred in your home.

My son took his turkey off the bone first, rolled and tied the breast, and then smoked it and the legs. He put the carcass in a pot and made stock that he used with the leg meat in some wonderful turkey pot pies. Your photo is superb.
